Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you wanted to know about booking appointments at the Ministry of Interior
How does the appointment booking service work?
Fill in a short form with your details, the appointment type you need, your preferred branches, and the urgency level. Our team monitors slots that open up and appointments that get cancelled in the Ministry of Interior (Misrad HaPnim) system, and books the fastest appointment that matches the requirements you set. You'll get an update by phone, SMS, or WhatsApp as soon as the appointment is booked.
How much does the service cost, and when do I pay?
The cost depends on the urgency level you choose: ILS 69 for an appointment within about 3 months, ILS 99 within about a month, and ILS 149 within about a week. Up-to-date prices are always shown at the top of the booking form. Payment is made only after the appointment has actually been booked – not before.
What happens if no suitable appointment is found – do I still pay?
No. If we do not find an appointment that meets the requirements you set, you pay nothing. Submitting a request involves no upfront payment and no obligation – you are charged only after the appointment has actually been booked.
How long does it take to get an appointment?
It depends on the urgency level chosen and demand at the requested branches. On the urgent track we work to find an appointment within about a week, and sometimes even sooner. On the regular tracks, coordination can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks.
Which appointment types do you handle?
We book the common Ministry of Interior appointment types: a first passport, a passport that has expired or is about to expire, and a lost, stolen, or damaged passport, as well as a first ID card (teudat zehut), an ID card that has expired or is about to expire, and a lost, stolen, or damaged ID card. If your appointment type is not on the list, select "Other" in the form and describe your request – in most cases we can help with that too.
Which branches do you operate in?
We operate at every Ministry of Interior branch across the country – from Eilat to Kiryat Shmona. You can select several preferred locations in the form, or choose "anywhere" if speed matters most to you. The full branch list is available on the branches page.
What details do you need from me?
To book an appointment we need your full name, ID number, phone number, the appointment type, and your preferred branches. We do not need passwords, verification codes, or access to any of your personal accounts, and the booking form never asks for payment details. We will never ask you for a password or a verification code – if you receive such a request in our name, do not share it.
I already have an appointment – can you move it to an earlier date?
No. If there is already an active appointment registered under your ID number, we cannot book another appointment for you. To use our service you must not have an existing appointment – if you do, please cancel it in advance before contacting us.
Can you book appointments for several family members together?
Yes. If you need several consecutive appointments for more than one ID number – for example a spouse or children – note this in the form's notes field along with the relevant ID numbers. Please note that coordinating several consecutive appointments may incur an additional charge.
We just got married – how do I update my surname on my ID card and passport?
Congratulations! To update your surname at the Ministry of Interior and be issued an ID card and passport in your new name, you need to book an appointment and state that it is a change of details. In our form, select "Other" and note in the comments that it is a surname change after marriage. At the appointment itself, new documents will be issued with the updated name.
How do I get a passport for a baby who has not been born yet?
You can book an appointment in advance for after the birth, using the ID numbers of the parents who will come with the baby. We recommend wearing a plain white shirt so you can hold the baby against your body for a photo with a white background, if the photo is taken at the Ministry of Interior. You can note in our form's notes field from which date you want the appointment.
Elections are coming up – what should I check regarding my ID card?
Ahead of an election it is important to make sure in advance that you hold a valid identity document, and if you do not, to renew it quickly. The closer the election date gets, the higher the demand for appointments and the faster the available slots fill up. In addition, old ID cards that are no longer valid are being phased out, so it is best to issue a new one early and avoid problems. In the form, select "ID card expired" or "ID card about to expire".
How will I know that an appointment was actually booked for me?
After we notify you that the appointment has been booked, you can also verify it yourself: go to the Ministry of Interior website and try to book a new appointment. If the system tells you that an appointment already exists for your ID number, that confirms your appointment was successfully booked.
What documents do I need to bring to the appointment?
It is the customer's sole responsibility to check and verify which documents are required for the appointment. Our role is only to coordinate and book the appointment for you – we are not responsible for the documents you need to bring. We recommend checking in advance on the Ministry of Interior website which documents are required for your request type (passport issuance, ID card, change of details, etc.).
Can I cancel my request before an appointment is booked?
Yes. As long as no appointment has been booked for you, you can cancel your request at any stage and at no cost – contact us through the contact page or simply reply to the message you received from us.
What happens if I don't confirm the appointment that was booked?
If an appointment is booked for you and you ask to cancel it and reschedule, additional charges beyond the original service cost may apply, since we need to search for and secure a new available slot again.
What is the difference between this service and booking directly on the Ministry of Interior website?
You can certainly try to book an appointment yourself on the Ministry of Interior website. Our service saves you the time and daily follow-up needed to catch slots that open up or get cancelled, and is especially useful if you need an urgent appointment, the nearby branches are fully booked, or you'd simply rather have someone else handle it.
How do you find available appointments? Are you skipping ahead of other people?
We use the Ministry of Interior's regular appointment system, exactly like anyone else – we have no special access, and we never cancel or push aside other people's appointments. Our advantage is continuously monitoring slots that free up because of cancellations, and being available to take them the moment they appear. What you pay us for is the monitoring and coordination service only; the appointment itself is booked in the official system in your name.
Is this service affiliated with the Ministry of Interior?
No. This is an independent, private service for assistance with booking appointments, and is not operated, funded, or affiliated in any way with the Ministry of Interior or any other government body.
Is my information secure?
The details you leave are used solely to coordinate your appointment and are never sold or shared with third parties. The information is stored temporarily only for the purpose of providing the service and is not kept for the long term. We follow standard security practices when handling data submitted through the form.
